We are listed with UL864, Control Units and Accessories for Fire Alarm Systems and
ULC-527-11 Control Units for Fire Alarm Systems
Can the E.V.S. be used with both Conventional and Addressable Fire Alarm Systems?
Yes it can
Are all E.V.S. keyed alike?
Yes, all switches use the same key.
Is E.V.S. listed in both Canada and USA?
Yes, the E.V.S. is ULC and UL listed.
Is the E.V.S. listed with All Fire Alarm Systems?
It is not required to be, as it is an ancillary device, therefore it can be used with any system.
Can the E.V.S. be installed to test Smoke Detectors and Rate of Rise Heat Detectors?
No, the E.V.S. is not listed for testing these devices.
Does it matter which side of the E.V.S. the resistor goes on?
Yes, the resistor has to be installed under the terminals marked R- & R+
Can the E.V.S. be custom stamped with my company name?
Yes, this option is available at an additional cost.
Is the E.V.S. plate the same size as a standard End of Line plate?
No, the E.V.S. plate is slightly bigger than the standard EOL, so that it should cover up minor paint damage caused from removing old EOL.
Can the E.V.S. only be used to replace End of Lines?
No, the E.V.S. can be used for testing a variety of devices and components. It also can be used to bypass auxiliary in Fire Alarms and Security Systems and more.
